16S rRNA Gene Sequencing of Gut Microbiota during In Vitro Colonic Fermentation of Theabrownin

This project investigates the changes in human gut microbiota during the in vitro colonic fermentation of theabrownin, a complex tea-derived polyphenol. Fecal samples from healthy volunteers were incubated with TB under anaerobic fermentation conditions. 16S rRNA gene sequencing targeting the V3 and V4 region was performed using the Illumina MiSeq platform. This dataset aims to characterize microbiota dynamics, identify TB responsive genera, and support downstream correlation with SCFA production and polyphenol metabolism.
