Dataset: The Effect of Environmental Policy on Green Patent Output by Different Participants of the National Innovation System

The dataset consists of green Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent filings based on different types of applicants: firms, individual inventors, universities and research institutes. Our second set of variables is environmental policy instruments based on an industry and country trade specialization. We adjust our policy indicators for population and a democracy index.
