Transcrition profiling of Arabidopsis WRKYs OE line in regulating leaf senescence

Leaf senescence represents the final stage of leaf growth and development, of which the onset and progression are strictly regulated. Although a number of senescence- associated genes (SAGs) and several transcription factors regulating this process have been identified, the regulatory mechanisms underlying the progression of leaf senescence remain largely unclear. This study characterized a novel regulator of leaf senescence, WRKY42 transcription factor, which function positively in regulating senescence .
