In order to determine the subtype and biological characteristics of the tumor cells of PVRL, we performed gene expression profiling analysis using RNA extracted from the vitreous samples upon diagnosis. Overall design: RNA was extracted from the vitreous fluid and the lymph nodes from PVRL and nodal DLBCL patients, respectively. One-color microarray-based gene expression analysis was performed.
