CDC State Immunization Investments

<b>VFC Program<br></b><br>The Vaccines for Children (VFC) program offers vaccines at no cost to eligible children through health care providers enrolled in the program. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) receives funding for the VFC program through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In general, state health departments manage the VFC program, but in some locations, it may be managed by a city or territorial health department.<br><br><b>State Immunization Programs</b><br><br>CDC provides immunization funding to state, cities and territories through a non-competitive, formula-based award program that provides financial assistance for state and local immunization operations. In addition, CDC works with state and local public health partners to implement the VFC program by providing direct assistance to provide vaccine for VFC-eligible children and funding for program operations.<br><br><b>State Immunization Investments Data Tables<br></b><br>State immunization investment data table contains VFC funding, other funding, and total investment for each state/territory.
