Pan-Plant EDTA Annotation Dataset v1.0 (137 DTol Plant Assemblies; Intact TE Calls)

This dataset contains intact transposable element (TE) annotations generated using EDTA v2.2.2 across 137 high-quality plant genome assemblies selected from the Darwin Tree of Life (DTol) project. Assemblies were identified based on released status and downloaded from the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA). Assembly accession numbers, release dates, and relevant metadata are provided in the accompanying species table. TE annotations were generated using EDTA v2.2.2 with the parameters: --genome <genome.fa> --threads 22 --force 1 --step all --anno 0 --sensitive 1 --species others. RepeatMasker version 4.1.7-p1 and LTR_retriever version v3.0.1 were used as part of the EDTA workflow. This release contains intact element calls only. It does not represent full genome-wide TE coverage, as fragmented, nested, and degraded TE annotations from the final TEanno layer are not included in this version. A pruned phylogenetic tree derived from DTol lineage metadata is included to provide comparative evolutionary context for the annotated species. The phylogeny is intended for contextual and exploratory purposes and does not represent a de novo genome-scale reconstruction. This dataset constitutes version 1.0 of a planned multi-stage pan-plant TE resource.
