Points representing the position of treatment plants in accordance with Directive 91/271/EEC on urban waste water treatment. Information on sewage plants, discharge points and sensitive areas has been forwarded to the European Commission according to the data model specified on the EIONET website http://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/help/UWWTD/UWWTD_613 and their content can be found on http://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/es/eu/uwwt . The mapping corresponds to the active treatment plants (whose data are in force and have not been derecognised) reported in the last monitoring report “Questionnaire 2021” (Q2021) containing status data as of December 2020 of the implementation of Directive 91/271/EEC reported to the European Commission in 2022.
