Ecology Lab 2 - Woodlot

This lab took place on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2:30 – 5:30pm. The lab was conducted in the woodlot/forest area on the York University Campus outside of the Lumbers building. In a group, we walked a straight line from the edge of the woodlot to the center and every time we encountered an adult tree we measured the diameter at breast height and observed the condition. We then measured the distance between the tree and the next closet adult tree. All measurements were made using a measuring tape. This process was completed a total of 10 times, using a total of 20 trees along the path.
