青藏高原是我国重要的生态安全屏障,也是重要的牧业生产基地。高寒草地是青藏高原面积最大的生态系统类型,是当地居民生存的重要资源。然而,青藏高原地区生态环境脆弱,草畜矛盾突出,草地退化问题严重。牲畜数量的变化是草地可持续管理的重要依据,掌握青藏高原牲畜结构的空间分布特征有利于了解人类活动对高寒草地生态系统的影响。研究使用的牲畜统计数据来源于青藏高原各省及自治区以及下辖的各市的统计年鉴和EPS数据平台,从统计年鉴中获取了2000年-2019年羊(山羊和绵羊)和牛的年末存栏量和出栏量数据。经插补整理成青藏高原(青海省和西藏自治区)2000-2019年县级牲畜存栏量和出栏量数据。
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is an important ecological security barrier and a major animal husbandry production base in China. Alpine grassland, the largest ecosystem type on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is a vital resource for the survival of local residents. However, the ecological environment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is fragile, with prominent livestock-grassland contradictions and severe grassland degradation. Changes in livestock populations serve as a key basis for sustainable grassland management. Mastering the spatial distribution characteristics of livestock structure on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau facilitates the understanding of the impacts of human activities on alpine grassland ecosystems. The livestock statistical data used in this study were collected from statistical yearbooks and the EPS Data Platform of the provinces, autonomous regions and their subordinate municipalities on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Data on year-end livestock inventory and slaughter volume of small ruminants (goats and sheep) and cattle from 2000 to 2019 were extracted from these statistical yearbooks. After imputation and organization, these data were compiled into county-level livestock inventory and slaughter volume datasets for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (Qinghai Province and Tibet Autonomous Region) covering the period from 2000 to 2019.
