NRS-4028 | Returns of age-grade distributions for non-state schools

This series consists of returns showing the age and grade distribution of pupils at non-government certified schools, together with details of staff. The returns are made on printed forms each July (prior to 1981 each August). They are forwarded to the Deputy Commonwealth Statistician for processing and compilation of statistics. The front of the form requires the following information to be completed: the school's religious denomination; the number of boarders and day scholars (boys and girls); and staff details (teachers and other staff, male and female, full and part-time, with or without university degrees). The reverse of the form is a table on which the numbers of pupils (boys and girls) of certain ages in each grade are plotted. The returns are grouped into bundles according to education area. Within the bundles the returns are filed alphabetically by name of suburb or town in which the school is located, then in reverse chronological order. 1958-69 (8/2178A-2183B), 1971-82 (12/14179-88). 21 boxes.
