SFINCS Flood Hazard and Impact Analyses for Jackson County, Mississippi, USA

These files provide code and post-processed model output from the Super-Fast INundation of CoastS (SFINCS) compound flood model used to produce the figures in the manuscript titled "Storm Characteristics and Sea-Level Rise Shape Compound Flood Hazards and Impacts in Jackson County, Mississippi". Keep folders in the same structure after download to ensure scripts run properly. If folders are structured correctly and all necessary packages are downloaded, then the scripts will produce all analysis figures from both the main and supplemental sections from the manuscript. The files are broken into three folders. SFINCS_Code_Data_Figures/code_wrr/ Contains all python scripts necessary to produce analysis figures. SFINCS_Code_Data_Figures/datasets_wrr/ Contains all datasets necessary to run python scripts in code_wrr/. SFINCS_Code_Data_Figures/figures_wrr/ Contains output figures generated from python scripts in code_wrr/. The datasets_wrr/ folder is broken up into six subfolders. event_comparison/ - datasets used to compare two 100-year events flood_buildings/ - compiled datasets on flooded buildings, volumes, and areas for all events across all return periods and sea-level rise scenarios flood_metrics/ - compiled datasets on flooded buildings, volumes, and areas for all events across all return periods and sea-level rise scenarios AND comparisons for specific sea-level rise scenarios flood_zones/ - spatially-varying dominant flood driver rasters for all return periods and sea-level rise scenarios provided for both the entire study area and the Pascagoula River subarea, raster values correspond to runoff-dominated (-1), transition zone (0), and coastal-dominated (+1) areas isolines/ - datasets used to produce isolines for trivariate synthetic event selection for all return periods model_validation/ - datasets and events used for SFINCS model validation, including all 10 validation event folders with associated forcing conditions and output (event_folders/)
