资源简介:
Core strength is widely believed as a crucial factor in athletic performance, particularly in activities requiring explosive movements like vertical jump, but its direct correlation with flight time during vertical jumps has not been extensively studied in recreational players (e.g. basketball, volleyball and badminton). Understanding this relationship could provide valuable insights into training strategies that enhances jump performance, reduce injury risk and enhance overall athletic ability. This current study is aimed to find out the correlation between core strength and flight time during vertical jump in recreational players.
80 male and female recreational volleyball, basketball and badminton players aged between 17-26 years, playing from at least last 6 months with no history of any injury were participated in this study. Subjects were asked to perform sit-ups, repetitive arch-up test, prone planks for core strength and sergeant jump test for vertical jump, Spearman correlation coefficient test was used to measure the correlation between the variables.
