EDI Geopolitical Risk Forecasting

The geopolitical risk series resorts to weighted metrics to evaluate, score and rank countries according to political, economic and financial risks. The composite score is derived from benchmarking against ICRG’s 32 risk types for each country. The ICRG methodology integrates political and financial risk variables such as real GDP growth, inflation, fiscal account balances, external debt, liquidity sufficiency and currency stability. The ICRG Group covers over 141 developed, emerging and frontier countries worldwide dating back 1984 to 2021.
