British Geological Survey (BGS) Sampling Survey 1975/20: Liverpool Bay (06/Aug/1975 to 13/Aug/1975)

This sampling survey has been carried out by Institute of Geological Sciences now British Geological Survey (BGS) for BGS, the survey took place in August 1975 in Ribble estuary on board a SH2-3 hovercraft. The purpose was to carry out marine sampling work in conjunction with the IGS Applied Geophysics Unit gravity surveys. Sea-bed samples were collected by beach sampling methods and photography.
