Land use map of the state of Baden-Württemberg as input data for ecological assessments based on LANDSAT TM satellite image data. Land use maps in digital form represent reference points for historical and current developments and can provide the basis for assessing burdens and development opportunities. The presentation of this updated land use takes place in usage classes, which serve both as a basis for the delimitation of space categories and describe the benefits and burdens with regard to the natural budget.
