Agricultural Rent in England, 1690-1914

a) to produce a book on agricultural rent in England, 1690-1914, which was published in February 1997;<br>
b) to produce a rent index which is embodied in the book;<br>
c) to produce a database on agricultural rent in England, 1690-1914.<br>
The Data Archive holds and disseminates only the database.<br><B>Main Topics</B>:<BR><br>The dataset is a catalogue of rent assessed, rent received, and on which acreage it applied for ninety three English estates for selected runs of years from 1690-1914.<br>
The dataset is a mirror image of the data embodied in the book <i>Agricultural Rent in England</i>, which was used in the construction of the rent index, with the important distinction that the book contains a summary of the data in the appendix and not the full database.<br>

Please note: this study does not include information on named individuals and would therefore not be useful for personal family history research.<br>
