It covers all 6 NAAQS criteria pollutants (pm25, pm10, ozone, so2, co, no2) with hourly granularity, from approximately 1,500 monitoring stations across the United States. The dataset includes two main files: readings.parquet provides hourly readings, with each row representing a monitoring station per hour per pollutant, including timestamp, pollutant type, concentration value, unit, AQI index, geographic information (state, county, latitude, longitude), etc.; daily_summary.parquet provides daily aggregates, offering daily mean, max, and min AQI per state, county, and pollutant, along with mean concentration and reading count. It is suitable for air quality analysis, environmental research, public health monitoring, and machine learning applications. The data is updated daily via an automated pipeline using Xet block-level deduplication for storage. Licensed under the Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-By).
