Buffer strips of polluted waters

For agricultural land adjacent directly to sensitive waters, the layer exhibits a buffer strip on a width of 10 metres to standing waters and 5 metres to flowing waters. Sensitive waters are those which, according to the National Water Management Plan, have a target failure (from level 3 “moderate”) due to material pollution in accordance with the EU Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60/EC).
