Microbial community structure bacterial community inoculant in Mars soil simulant and sand

We inoculated a bacterial community that produced biofilm on the roots of Chrysanthemum indicum L. cutting in three different sterile soil matrices (two synthetic Mars simulant soils, MGS-1 and MMS-1, and Sand) and evaluated the effect of this microbial community addition on soil aggregates. We then determined the microbial composition of the biofilm-producing community and accessed its potential functions by metagenomic approach after eight weeks of inoculation in these soils, which provided sufficient time for soil aggregation.
