Bioindication through leaf and needle analyses of trees in the Linz area

This publication describes the picture resulting from the analysis of leaves and needles from the greater Linz area of the environmental situation of this urban industrial conurbation in 1996. As Austria’s third largest city1 and as a location of voestalpine Stahl GmbH and other well-known companies in the chemical and metal industries, this area is subject to considerable material emissions into the atmosphere.
