Responses of the root tip to zinc excess or cadmium treatment in Arabidopsis thaliana

The response of Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0) roots to 24h or 48h long zinc excess (200 uM Zn) or cadmium (25 uM Cd) treatments were compared to control conditions (1 uM Zn). Roots were separated in 2 segments: the root-tip (RT, +/-2 mm of the tip of the primary root) and the remaining root system (RR, the remaining root system without the 2 mm root tip). Root tissues of Col-0 were harvested from 8 or 9 day old seedlings cultivated on agar plates.
