Future of Media Project US Media Ownership Indexes 2021

This dataset includes information on US Media Ownership of newspapers, cable TV, magazines, and digital-only properties. We also include monthly clicks to news sites. We have created three indexes to show an aggregate view of US News Media Ownership: An Index of Mainstream Media News Ownership, Index of Emerging Nonprofit Newsrooms and Their Funders, Index of Six Largest Holding Companies of US Newspapers by State.
