Turicibacter sanguinis MOL361 (DSM 14220) was previously sequenced in March 2019 as part of the Genomic Encyclopedia of Archaeal and Bacterial Type Strains, Phase IV: the One Thousand Microbial Genomes (KMG IV) project of the Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Genome Institute [12]. The whole-genome assembly, comprising 48 contigs, was uploaded to NCBI in 2019 (GCA_004338625). To close this genome for a separate study, we used the Oxford Nanopore MinIon to generate long reads to close the genome and identify contamination within the previous genome assembly, resulting in a single contig.
