Strongyle eggs from naturally infected equine broodmares and foals in Germany were extracted from faeces. DNA was extracted using NucleoSpin Soil kit (Macherey-Nagel, Dren, Germany) kit. All samples were sequenced for the purpose of species identification and species composition analysis using Cytochromeoxidase I target amplicon on Illumina MiSeq.
