As a model organism, Daphnia magna is highly tractable due to its short generation time and largely clonal reproductive cycle. As part of a wider study into the effects of environmental temperatures and genotypes upon DNA methylation patterns within a population, we use whole-genome sequencing (Illumina HiSeq 4000 PE (2 x 150 bp)) of 12 genotypes originally isolated from the Brown Moss Mere, Shropshire, UK to analyse genetic variation.
