Comparison of the complete chloroplast genomes of Astilbe two species of Korean endemic plant

This study reports the complete chloroplast genome sequences of two Korean endemic species, A. taquetii and A. uljinensis, for the first time. The genomes are 156,968~157,142 bp long and contain 130 genes, showing a typical four-part structure. Several key features were identified, including A/U-stop codon preference, the presence of 49 repeats and 47~49 SSRs, and 10 regions identified as mutation hotspots.
