Metagenomic analysis of koi carp, cultivated carp and wild carp samples in Henan

This specific study undertakes a detailed analysis of antibiotic resistance genes in the intestinal samples of carp, with the aim of offering valuable perspectives on the impact of antibiotic resistance in the domain of ornamental aquaculture. The results showed that the resistance genes in the intestines of cultivated fish are likely to transfer to the surrounding water through mechanisms such as defecation and feeding. By exploring this aspect, it is anticipated that a more comprehensive comprehension can be achieved regarding the complex dynamics and implications of antibiotic resistance in this particular area of fish farming.
