Human alveolar lavage fluid 16SrRNA

Patients aged 18 to 60 years with mild or moderate bacterial pneumonia and no prior treatment were enrolled as the untreated bacterial pneumonia group. Patients in the treated bacterial pneumonia group received oral moxifloxacin (400 mg daily for 7 days) as conventional therapy. Non-pneumonia patients served as the control group. Control group inclusion criteria required no symptoms of respiratory tract infection, no dry or wet rales on pulmonary auscultation, and no radiographic evidence of pneumonia, as confirmed by chest X-ray.
