资源简介:
This dataset contains images from Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements for bubble-in-chain flows at different release frequencies (ranging 3~12 Hz). The experiments were conducted in the tank located in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University. Bubble-in-chain flow is defined as the water flow purely introduced by the disturbance of rising bubbles in the stagnant water. In this experiment, air bubbles were supplied from a single orifice at the bottom of the tank (1 m water depth), and all bubbles have diameters of 5.5 ~ 6.5 mm. The PIV measurements were carried out to measure the mean flow and turbulence in the centerline of the bubble-in-chain induced flow, at about 0.5 m above the source. For each release frequency, four repeated runs were performed with each generating 4312 pairs of images.
