资源简介:
In this study, we measured cold and dehydration tolerance of larvae of Belgica antarctica from three distinct geographic locations along the Antarctic Peninsula. Larvae were collected from Cape Rasmussen, Cape Evensen, and Dream Island, after which they were returned to the US for experiments. For cold tolerance, larvae were exposed to -14 or -15°C for 24 h, and survival was assessed 24 later. For dehydration tolerance, larvae were exposed to 75% RH for 72 h, and survival was checked after 24 h of rehydration. The dataset reports the numbers of live and dead larvae from each island and experimental conditions. Larvae were tested in groups of 10.
