Pristine multi-walled carbon nanotubes were functionalized with nitric acid, followed by thermal treatment at 600 °C, and incorporated into a poly(dimethylsiloxane) matrix. The composites were characterized and their antibiofilm activity and antibacterial mechanisms were assessed by biofilm cell culturability and flow cytometry, respectively.
