资源简介:
During the processing of raw materials for the production of edible oil, various types of wastewater is generated. Each type of wastewater have unique properties, which will allow for the growth of different types of bacteria, including those with the ability to produce enzymes such as lipase, that would allow for the survival of the organism under these extreme conditions. In addition, these organisms may also have the ability to produce biosurfactants, compounds which would allow for the solubilisation and utilisation of any oils and fats present in the wastewater. The main aim of this study was therefore to use next generation sequencing to determine the actinobacterial diversity associated with two types of wastewater, as well as using an isolation approach, to determine whether lipase- and biosurfactant-producing actinobacteria can be isolated from edible oil processing wastewater.
