Contract Workers

All persons who are not employed directly by an employer but through the third agency, i.e. Contractor, are termed as contract workers. Those workers may be employed with or without the knowledge of the principal employer. The Contract Labor act makes a number of provisions for the welfare of the contract workers including payment of minimum wage , social security benefits and others. Number of Contract workers have been calculated by Usual Status, Usual Principal Activity Status and Usual Subsidiary Activity Status.
