PREDICTION OF METABOLIC SYNDROME IN CUBAN ADULTS WITH EMPHASIS ON TyG AND WTI
收藏资源简介:
Description / Version Notes (Zenodo) Dataset associated with the study “Prediction of Metabolic Syndrome in Cuban Adults with Emphasis on TyG and WTI”. This English-language version was prepared to improve the international accessibility, visibility, and reproducibility of the dataset. The database was developed from a cohort of 2,000 Cuban adults and constitutes the analytical dataset used for the preparation of the manuscript entitled “Prediction of Metabolic Syndrome in Cuban Adults with Emphasis on TyG and WTI”, currently undergoing final revision prior to submission. This version includes data cleaning, quality control procedures, nomenclature standardization, and recalculation of selected cardiometabolic indices to ensure consistency across statistical analyses and graphical outputs. The following modifications were incorporated: · Verification and correction of anthropometric and biochemical variables. · Standardization of variable names for compatibility with SPSS, Excel, Python, and visualization workflows. · Validation of TyG, WTI, WHtR, BRI, LAP, BMI, VAI, and SM-score variables. · Recalculation and validation of the Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI). · Inclusion of the variable VAI Recalculated for comparative analyses. · Verification of metabolic syndrome classifications and SM-score calculations. · Preparation of datasets for ROC curve analyses, percentile-based stratification, and correlation analyses. · Harmonization of labels and coding schemes to facilitate reproducibility and secondary analyses. These revisions supported the development of the final analytical outputs, including sex-specific percentile analyses of recalculated VAI, comparative ROC analyses of cardiometabolic indices, and correlation analyses with SM-score. The dataset is shared to promote transparency, reproducibility, and future research on metabolic syndrome, cardiometabolic risk assessment, and predictive indices in Latin American populations. This dataset represents the final validated analytical database prepared for the forthcoming submission of the manuscript and contains all variables, recalculated indices, and quality-control procedures used in the reported analyses.
