Raw Data_An Examination of the Psychological Mechanisms Between Body Appreciation and Life Satisfaction Among Older

The dataset is titled "Raw Data_An Examination of the Psychological Mechanisms Between Body Appreciation and Life Satisfaction Among Older Adults." Data was collected from early November to late December 2025, involving older adults from multiple communities in China, via the Wenjuanxing platform (www.wjx.cn). After excluding invalid responses based on attention checks and response time criteria, a total of 605 valid questionnaires were retained for analysis. Guided by the positive body image framework and the subjective aging framework, the study measured key variables such as body appreciation, self-acceptance, self-perceptions of aging, and life satisfaction. The aim was to explore the associative patterns between body appreciation and life satisfaction, and to analyze the mediating roles of self-acceptance and self-perceptions of aging. This dataset provides valuable insights into understanding body appreciation, life satisfaction, and the psychological mechanisms related to aging among older adults.
