Data Set: High methane ebullition throughout one year in a regulated central European stream

We present an extensive data set of 158 methane (CH₄) ebullition measurements from a small central-European stream, taken at four characteristic positions in one cross section and covering a whole year. CH₄ fluxes of up to 30 mmol m^-2 d^-1 were observed with volume fluxes partly above 1000 ml m^-2 d^-1. CH4 fluxes remained high throughout the year. Fluxes were highest in the center of the stream.In addition, a data set of three vertical pore-water CH₄ concentration gradients and carbon stable isotope measurements of CH₄ are presented. Relevant anions and cations were also measured. Profiles were taken with pore-water dialysis samplers (peepers) in the same cross section as ebullition measurements.
