STR genotypes of 195 black grouse individuals

The data file contains the individual genotypes of 195 black grouse (Lyrurus tetrix) individuals, genotyped at 9 STR (microsatellite) loci. The data is curated into 10 subpopulations as decribed in the accompanied publication. The data is uploaded in the commonly used genepop file format. , Samples were collected non-invasively over the whole study area (Styria, Austria) in the years 2013, 2015, 2016. Special measurements to guarantee best quality DNA where: collection of faeces only from fresh snow (maximum 5 days after snowfall). Invasive samples were collected from hunted birds during the hunting season. 250 samples were collected and processed.
