We characterized the genomic localization of select histone modifications in mouse cecal intestinal epithelial cells (IECs), including butyrulation on histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27bu), as well as H3K27ac, H3K4me3, and H3K27me3. We also analyzed the response of IECs to different treatments of ampicillin and tributyrin (an analog of butyrate) by RNA-seq. Characterization of histone modifications in cecal intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and analysis of RNA expression in mice treated with or without ampicillin and tributyrin.
