A ~50 ka record of pteropods preservation from the Laccadive Sea, Indian Ocean

A ~50 ka record of pteropods preservation from the Laccadive Sea, Indian Ocean. The data consists of total pteropods abundances and important species, pteropods dissolution proxies, G. menardii abundances and Menardii fragmentation index for a core SK343. The sediment core SK343 studied here is 3.55 m long and recovered near the GoM (7º46'42" N; 78º22'21" E) from the LS during Sagar Kanya cruise 343 (Fig. 1) at a depth of 1340 m well beyond the present-day ACD (~500 m) and OMZ (~1250 m). The core was subsampled at 1, 2, and 5 cm intervals, down to 100, 300, and 355 cm.
