Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders – Additional potential hydropower production – REV2030 scenario

This map layer is part of the Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders. “In the ‘Space for Energy Flanders 2030’ scenario (REV2030), we only look at the additional potential on the remaining locks of the Albert Canal. For existing molite sites and other unused locks, we assume that no additional potential will be realised. The assessment of the potential is based on the average potential of locks in Limburg from the 1996 study on the inventory of the hydropower potential of the vzw TSAP. The results are presented per municipality. The figures per municipality can also be found in the attached table.”
