Pempheris schomburgkii (copper sweeper) genome, fPemSco2, sequence data

The copper sweeper (Pempheris schomburgkii) is a fish from a genus of sweepers native to the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Ocean (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a male individual found in Curacao was provided by Thomas Near and Gregory Watkins-Colwell to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. Manual curation was done by Genoscope in France.
