The most notified infectious diseases in 2015 were those related to childhood, including chickenpox, with 813 cases, equal to an incidence of 155.8 per 100,000 inhabitants. In addition, 50 cases of tuberculosis were reported in 2015, equivalent to 9.6 per 100,000 inhabitants.
There were 20 new cases of HIV reported in 2014, or 4.0 per 100,000 inhabitants. The new cases of HIV reported in Italy in 2014 were 3,695 for a corresponding incidence of 6.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
