Sequencing of the V4 region of the 16S ribosomal RNA for the bacterial community found from the surface to depth in Upper Mystic Lake, Winchester, MA. This lake has industrial pollution, especially in the sediments, containing iron and arsenic. It is seasonally stratified and typically mixes twice a year. It is used for swimming, boating and fishing and is in an urban environment.
