Credit institutions

‘Credit institutions are institutions authorised by the Croatian National Bank in accordance with the Credit Institutions Act, whose activity is to receive deposits or other repayable funds from the public and to grant credits for their own account. A credit institution in Croatia can be established as a bank, a savings bank or a residential savings bank. Banks in liquidation and bankrupt banks are not included in the credit institution sector.
The tables present aggregated data on credit institutions’ assets and liabilities and interest rate data on credit institutions. In addition, tables and figures present, at both individual and aggregated levels, data on the profit and loss and capital adequacy of credit institutions, but also other relevant data on credit institutions. The data shall be based on a reporting system in accordance with the Decision on statistical and prudential reporting and on the framework for the exercise of supervision and the collection of prudential reports by credit institutions.”
