资源简介:
In October 2005, Brockington and Associates, Inc., surveyed 12 acres of uplands associated
with the Clam Farm Tract for Interlink Development, LLC. This survey included a review of the
history of land ownership and use through public documents, a review of previous investigations in
and near the project area, and the excavation of shovel tests at 30 meter (100 foot) intervals along
the project tract. Shovel tests were also excavated immediately around the clam farming facilities.
An intensive metal detector survey was conducted near some of the structures at the clam farm, in
order to search for evidence of Civil War camps or activities. This cultural resources survey was
undertaken to provide information concerning the kinds of cultural resources present on the tract and
how these resources may affect the future development of the tract. No artifacts or information
pertaining to the Civil War was found during this survey.
