LAWS OF WASTEWATER TRANSPORT IN IRRIGATION CANALS

This article examines the fundamental laws governing sediment transport in irrigation canals, including the mechanisms of sediment movement and their dependence on hydraulic parameters. The initiation of particle motion and their transport characteristics are analyzed based on flow velocity, bed slope, and channel geometry. Additionally, methods for controlling sediment transport and their effectiveness are discussed. The findings are significant for ensuring the stability and efficient operation of irrigation systems.
