资源简介:
This dataset is designed for research on pain perception following orthopedic surgery, focusing on the association between dysfunctional personality traits and body image among patients. It comprises 53 entries and 15 variables, capturing various psychological and demographic factors related to pain experience. Objective: To explore how dysfunctional personality traits influence pain perception in individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery. Content & Structure: The dataset consists mainly of numerical data, representing psychological scales and scores. It also includes categorical variables such as sex, education, and marital status, which provide demographic and social context. Measurement Tools: Dysfunctional personality traits: Assessed using the Personality Inventory for ICD-11 (PiCD), adapted into Polish by Cieciuch et al. Pain coping strategies: Evaluated with the Pain Coping Strategies Questionnaire (CSQ), developed by A.C. Rosenstiel and F.J. Keefe and adapted into Polish by Z. Juczyński. Subjective pain intensity: Measured using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), where patients indicate pain levels on a 10 cm horizontal line ranging from 0 (no pain) to 10 (worst pain imaginable). This dataset provides valuable insights into the interaction between psychological characteristics and subjective pain perception during orthopedic surgery recovery.
