The Center for Conservation Education and Sustainability (CCES) has an ongoing biodiversity assessment and monitoring program in southwestern Gabon. This program is a partnership between Shell Gabon and the Smithsonian Institution, and is located within the Gamba Complex of Protected Areas (GCPA). The primary objectives for all CCES Gabon projects are to assess current biodiversity and to develop long-term biodiversity monitoring protocols. This NCBI BioProject contains DNA barcode records that were generated with support from the federally-funded Smithsonian Institution DNA Barcode Network.
