Based on the open data of China forestry statistical year book and China forestry and grassland statistical year book from 1998 to 2019, this dataset calculates two series of index sets: Forest Pest Outbreak index (FPOI) and Forest Pest Occurence Area Rate (FPOAR) at different time and spatial scales.And calculate the Forest Pest Outbreak index anomaly and Forest Pest Occurence Area Rate anomaly The verification shows that the dataset could better reflect the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of forest pest disasters in China, and could provide data support for the research on forest pest disaster pattern, change and risk assessment in China.
