资源简介:
This collection presents paired U-Pb and Trace/Rare Earth Element geochemistry from zircons from four samples traversing the N - S exposures of the Cordillera Blanca batholith and from two samples of a previously unnamed pluton near the village of Huayllapa, Lima, Peru (the Huayllapa Pluton). Samples from the Cordillera Blanca batholith are granodiorite, specifically leucogranodiorite. Samples from the Huayllapa pluton are granodiorite and tonalite. Geochronology data in this collection include zircon U concentrations, 206Pb/204Pb ratios, U/Th ratios, 206Pb/207Pb ratios, 207Pb/235U ratios, 206Pb/238U ratios, percent error on isotope ratios, error correlation coefficients, 206Pb/238U dates, 207Pb/235U dates, 206Pb/207Pb dates, and associated percent errors, and 2-sigma errors on 206Pb/238U dates. Based on the age of the samples (<30 Ma), we recommend using 206Pb/238U dates and 2 sigma errors. Trace and rare earth chemistry reported in this collection include concentrations, in parts per million, for La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Y, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Hf, P, Th, U, and Nb. This data was collected to explore temporal and genetic connections between magmas in the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Huayhuash, as well as to assess the origin of zircon date overdispersion in individual samples of the Cordillera Blanca batholith and implications of magmatism for the geodynamic evolution of the region. This dataset is intended to compliment a manuscript submitted for publication in Geosphere.
